Anyone else go to the NPD show at Silver Springs this weekend?

It was a great show, about 1500 or so cars. I'll see if I can get pictures up later. Even the Pony Drive on Friday was extremely well attended.

We took the Mach up this year. We were only there for Sat, had too much to do at the house on Sunday to make it an all weekend affair.

Lots of great cars, as usual. Unfortunately we ended up getting parked right down by the giraffe pen, for the second year in a row. Man does that s**t stink. And the rain late in the afternoon on sat didn't help it at all.

All in all we had a good time. I'll see if I can get some pics up loaded. I didn't take as many as I usually do this year.

We were over by the giraffe pen as well, and originally we were parked facing the port-o-potties. Right infront of them..how terrible is that?

We got moved a few rows away, parked next to the three Lightnings.

The port o potties smelled better than the giraffes did. We had the Azure blue Mach 1 parked between a Legend Lime GT and a Black Califonia Special.

There was a beautiful 69 Mach 1 with a 429 parked right behind us. That car made me:drool:

Bring your car next year. If you are in the first 1000 to enter you get admission for 2 for 2 days for free and even if you aren't one of the first 1000 it is only $17 for admission for 2 for both days. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

I dunno about 20's. I certainly remember low 40's in morning in years past. It did freeze/frost in the middle of the night. I washed my car the night before, and had to pick ice of of it in the morning.

Last year was chilly but I didn't think it was too bad. 4 years ago we went and, like an idiot, I listened to the weatherman. Was supposed to start off chilly and warm up into the upper 60s low 70s. Nice shorts and t shirt weather so thats what I wore. Well it was overcast and misting rain all day and got colder. I had no jacket or anything. I ended up breaking down and buying a Silver Springs sweatshirt.

It was so cold that there were hardly any people walking around, everybody was in their cars running the heaters. That was one miserable day. Since then there have ALWAYS been at least 2 jackets in the trunk at all times.

Yea, I remember that. I've been doing this show for 6 years or so. Maybe 7. There have been some cold weekends in that crazy park.

I have a crazy, crazy friend who drives to most of the car shows in his '67 fastback. For nearly daily driving, the car is absolutely beautiful. It was at this show.

He doesn't have heat or A/C, and drove to almost every Silver Springs show the past few years, wrapped up in blankets with several cups of coffee in the car. It was pretty hysterical watching him get out of the car.
