Silver "thing " on coil bracket....?

Been awhile since i've been on here...i had a Vibrant red '94 gt with some bolt-ons,but had to sell it a couple years ago....friday i bought a black '94 5-speed so im back in the game............anyway i was wondering what the little thing is that is bolted to the coil bracket and do i need it?....i know my other stang had one but this one is missing.....pics will be added shortly

It's a capacitor. It's function is to eliminate/reduce radio interference from the ignition system.

Only if it's creating an issue. You could probably find one but not from Ford and I have no clue as to it's rating although I would think a car audio shop could help if needed.
