Those are nice and I hope they work on the 03's and 04's.

I talked to a tech from Autometer and he said they are not going to make the Lunar series cluster anymore due to the minimal sales and also there are problems with the speedometer not working on the '03 and '04 Mustangs. He said they contacted Ford of how to resolve this problem and still couldn't get it worked out. I hope these new gages have those issues worked out.

The Autometer clusters works just fine in my '03.

For well over $300 a pop it's no wonder sales are minimum for Autometer. I like the look of Simco's gauges and the price is a little more tolerable than Autometer.

It would be nice if Simco (or Autometer for that mater), put the 20 ohm series resistor of the Oil "Pressure Gauge" such that it could be either removed or otherwise bypassed.

This would allow one to replace the oil pressure switch on the engine block with a true oil pressure transducer, and have a real, functioning, oil pressure gauge.

I believe the pre-99 Mustangs had that 20 ohm resistor accessible on the cluster electronics back board, and one could do this "mod". However, starting in 99, the 20 ohm resistor was moved to be internal to the actual "gauge" and was no longer accessible.

everything about that is the same as the autometer guages, even the pointers. All is the same except the color. Did autometer maybe sell the rights to it because of all the problems they had. I would say this one will have the same problems.

great information ! I just ordered the autometer lunar fuel pressure and boost guages and have a few questions - is there a a pillar available for the 04 vert ? has anyone just screwed another pillar to vert pillar? which white face guage backing matches the lunar guages best, for instrument gluster -e glo ?

exactly.

though $250 isn't much better.... $40 face gauges are a lot easier to justify versus $250+ for a new color glow

This kit is different from the Autometer. Its fairly nice though!

The Roush kit is identical to the Autometer and more expensive. The only difference is one says 'ROUSH" the other says "AUTOMETER".

250 is fair. Although it should cost maybe 150! There isnt much to it and it uses the factory stuff.

Yea, if it read actual numbers instead of dummy 'percents' (off / on / OH SH1T.. PULL OVER)

That and they could have a version without that stupid logo. That's what I didn't like about the autometer also.

http://secure.florida50.com/cgi-bin/raceshop/cat14.html?id=padcyc7a Not as pretty as an OEM-styled cluster, but at least they're real gauges. I don't know what happens to the PATS system or odometer though.

It would be nice if I was a Denver Broncos fan. Looks like crap IMO, I'll take the Auto Meter kit.

They worked just fine in my 04, though I did have to pull the face and needles off and set them according to the digital readout trick on the odometer. If I'm not in the city at night, the glow is a little bright, even on the lowest setting.

Wouldn't you need a "t" for both the switch and transducer to go in to. The idiot light won't work without a switch.

+1 for the autometer. I like the silver coloring but they just look like factory guages.
