Simple 4-speaker + head unit stereo

Want to put a stereo in my fox. Right now I'm running a 10+year old cd player and 4 aftermarket speakers....so time for something new.

I just want something that sounds clear, and don't want to use an amp or box.

So, how would you put together a simple stereo?

Single din head unit (iPod hookup a plus)
4 speakers in stock locations (rear hatch and door)

If possible, I'd like to use the dash speakers as well....so any way to control 6 speakers with a single head unit?
