I,ve heard a lot of folks using simple green to clean their motors and then just sprinkling water over it.I was wondering if yall use regular simple green or the automotive version?

I think they are both the same. One might just be more concentrated than the other. I believe the automotive one is stronger.

I used the regular stuff and actually diluted it with water. Worked pretty good.

I use the regular. I also found another use for it this week. We got our tree up in the livingroom and I used it to remove the pine sap from my hands. Had to wash twice, but it worked.

I used the regular Simple Green and hosed the engine down after 15 minutes. It made the engine bay look fantastic, but it did leave spots on the aluminum parts. I have yet to find anything that will remove the spots, so you may want to dilute your solution (in other words, it's corrosive).
