I am looking to purchase this weekend lowering springs for my 03 GT. I have done no suspension mods to this point. I want to lower my ride 1.5 inches. Can you guys recommend which to get and where from, if not Ebay. I know its been asked before, but Im getting conflicting info on profiles. I hear 2 inches looks like crap, so I want to stay out of the YO clubs.Appreciate the help gang.

Go with the EIbach pro kit. Thats what I got and I have been really pleased. I measured the night before, and two weeks after. They lowered my car exactly(within an 8th of an inch) 1.5 all the way around. And another plus, cc plates were not required to align the car.

When I say Yo clubs , Im referring to the ricers and young kids now that say nothing but "yo", and "you know what Im sayin".. Dont want my car to look to lowered. Want a little space still above the tire line. Seems like the 99 and up sit different than your body style. Almost appears mine has a damn 4X4 package on it.

um FFs03gt dropping your car with 2inch springs would not put you in the "Yo Club" as you call it. #1 You drive a 4.6 so your automatically excluded as long as you dont stick any type-r stickers on your car. #2 H&R Supersports ( what i have on my car) is a good road to take..it dropped my convertible 2inch in the front and 1.6 in the back..so they say, but theirs still alot of fender left so you wont have that *Yo* look. eibach prokit looks fine but not all that good IMO, my friend has a 99 gt with eibach prokit and He still has a 4x4 IMO H&R's SS will make your car look the best and handle the best. match it up with some bilsteins and you have yourself a incredible machine.

You can either choose from Eibach or H&R, both make great springs, you just have to choose what drop or spring rate you want.

I went with the Eibach Pro Kit, it got rid of the ugly 4x4 look, and its not so low that it scrapes the ground everywhere, it will improve the looks greatly, and you will pick up some better handling Mustangs Unlimited

I understand and appreciate your position here. I also don't like the extreme drop...even a full 2" is pushing it. I'd stand firm on the 1.5" that you want and go with Eibach Pro kit - good quality springs.
I also get the YO club - punks...

Here is a pic of a SN95-Gen2 with Eibach Sportlines...and everyone has their own opinion, but I think this is too low. (Actually, I think it looks like sh1t, but I'm trying to be nice... )

I think sportlines look too low on the 99+ cars too. It looks almost an inch lower than the drop on the 96-98 cars

1.5" pro's all the way. The steeda's seem like a good lowered look too. IMO anything over 1.5" gives the dropped look, I didn't want that or the ride that comes with it. Took a guy with sportlines for a ride in mine with pro's he was blown away with the ride quality. Said it was night and day.
However the end result also depends on your rim choice. I was beside a guy with the H&R supersports on 18"s me with pro's on 17"s cars hoods were at the same height but he had less fender gap.

H&R Sports are the key to what you are looking for. The Supersports may be too low for your tastes.

H&R sports if you want 1.5". levels the car right out. I got my springs from MM but I thinkyou can get h&r off ebay as well.

you can not possible lower a 99+ stang to much with just springs.

there is like 6" of fender gap. 1.5 makes the car look like it should have stock. 2" makes it look like you might have lowered your car. I have the supersports and I would like to the car at least and inch lower so the tire was just right in the fender well but I would not want to drive a car dropped that far. proably would ride like ass.

when I see a stock stang I just see 4x4. I forget how bad it was unitl I see one.

see this is the look I like. I mean that is a stang on stock wheels. what is so "YO" about that. I don't think you will see and homies or wigger rolling a car like that too offten add some spinners then maybe. I think that is the way cars should look. why do you need you tire to be 6" from the fender opening.

I am sure the ride blows though if thet is all spring. I was thinking if I went with aftermarket K that gives me another .5-1 inch. that might make me happy.
