I got a mustang 1997 GT . the engine is rebuild and we make the engine flush and put the pennzoil platinum sintetic 5w30. I think is to thin for the engine. I life in puerto rico and is very hot her. Shut I change to 10w30.
 
Yes. Change the oil. That oil is too thin for this motor in your neck of the woods.


DO NOT run synthetic motor oil in a new engine. That engine should have AT LEAST 1000 miles on it before switching to synthetic.


No synthetic and No synthetic blends on brand new motors.

10w-40 dinosaur oil for break-in. 10w-40, 10w-50, or even 20w-50 (for where you are) after that.
