If your not making major hp/tq, you may be better off with the 26.0/8.5/15. Less rolling resistance. The 8.5's should hook well for most applications. If your making over 400rwhp, then I would go with the 10" or 10.5" wide. You will definately want to stay within 1" of your original tire height.
I make around 375rwhp/460ft-lbs. on the bottle and my car hooks pretty good with the 255/60/15 ET street radials. They are aprox. 27" tall and 8.5" wide. I have pulled a 1.71 60' with these tires. Before the year is over, I should be able to get into the 1.6x range. The reason I went with a 1" taller than stock size is to free up some rpm at the finish line. On my 315/35/17 Nitto dr's, I was crossing the line at almost 6200 rpm. Now I cross closer to 6000.
