is there a specfic way that sloted rotors go on? I've seen them on both ways but is one way better than the other?

They are directional and should be marked with the proper rotation or a R or L stamp.

not sure if that will help, but the slots should lean toward the rear so they clean from the inside pushing gases and dirt outward as they rotate.

From the Brembo website:

Which direction should the discs rotate?

It is a popular misconception that the slots or drillings in a disc determine the direction of rotation. In truth, for an internally vented disc, the geometry of the vanes dictates the direction of rotation. There are three vane types in use:

Straight
Pillar vane (comprised of many small posts)

Curved vane
The first two vane types are non-directional, and can be used on either side of the vehicle. The curved vane disc, however, is directional. A curved vane disc must be installed with the vanes running back from the inside to outside diameters in the direction of rotation. Please see figure. Orienting the disc in the manner creates a centrifugal pump. The rotation of the disc causes air to be pumped from the center of the disc, through the vanes, and out through the outside diameter of the disc. This greatly enhances the disc's ability to dissipate heat.

Additionally, all of Brembo's slotted discs are directional as well, regardless of the vane geometry. The discs should be installed such that the end of the slot nearest the outer edge of the disc contacts the pad first.

Translation: The opposite of what Mr. Style stated above.

My SSBC slotted rotors called for installation in the manner that Wythors mentioned. I know it seems counter-intuitive, but that is how they should be installed.

ok then, the rotors I got off ebay dont have an indacation of what side they go on, so I just put them on the way I though was right. As of now the inside of the rotor would touch the pads first. would u guys recomend turn them around or not?? If I just made no sence, just look at the link in my sig. and that will show u which way I installed them...

They look better that way, but all the reputable companies (Baer, Brembo, Stoptech) orientate the slots the other way. Other brands like Stillen and Raybestos orientate the slots the way you have yours. Take your pick, if it's on the street, I don't think it really makes that much of a difference anyway. Just as Whythorse pointed out, I just followed Brembo's instructions on my rotors.
