YES! FORD STROKERS CAME THOUGH, I GOT MY BLOCK AND STROKER KIT. I JUST HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE JAY ALLEN CAM AND MY HEADS TO GET OUT OF THE SHOP.

I WAS OVER MY BUDGET, SO I HAD TO PAINT THE ENGINE BAY MYSELF, WITH SPRAY PAINT.PAINT DIDN'T MATCH BUT IT STILL LOOKS BETTER THAN IT DID BEFORE.

NEXT ON THE LIST, I HAVE TO CHANGE A LEAKY PINION SEAL, AND MATCH THE BACK BRAKES TO THE FRONT CAUSE THEY LOOK LIKE TRASH.

I CAN'T WAIT. AFTER 2 1/2 YEARS OF SITTING, I'LL BE DRIVING IT, IN ABOUT A MONTH.

I GOT FORDSTROKERS DIY 347 KIT. I WANTED THERE COMPLETED SHORT BLOCK BUT THEY WERE REAL BUSY AND THAT WOULD TAKE ABOUT 8 WEEKS. IT TOOK 4 WEEKS TO GET THE DO IT YOURSELF KIT. I ALSO GOT THE JAY ALLEN CUSTOM CAM OPTION , SO WHEN I RECEIVED THE KIT WITH NO CAM ON JULY 17 I EMAILED JAY ALLEN AND HE REPLYED HE GOT THE ORDER FOR THE CAM ON THE 16TH AND IT TAKES 10 TO 14 BUSINESS DAYS TO MAKE. OTHER THAN THAT , I'M HAPPY. THEY WERE REAL COOL DOWN TO EARTH PEOPLE. TO GET THE REAL SPECS ON THE ENGINE, GO TO THEIR WEB, FORDSTROKERS.COM, AND LOOK AT THE DIY LIBERATOR SHORT BLOCK.

LOOKS GOOD DUDE. I AM IN THE SAME BOAT RIGHT NOW. I HAVE BEEN SLOWLY BUYING PARTS FOR TWO AND A BIT YEARS AND JUST NOW HAVE I PULLED THE MOTOR WITH ALL THE PARTS CLUTTERING MY GARAGE. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL THING.

I'm not kidding. I hate that job, and I have an air gun to break the pinion nut off with. I wouldn't say it's a technically hard job to do, just a lot of PITA work.

Well under normal circumstances I would have dropped the car off at some shop, telling them to call me when its done, engine swap and all. But now after closing my business down and landing a decent job and then getting laid off from that, I can only afford to buy the parts, not the labor. So I guess i'll be under the car changing that pinion seal tomorrow or next weekend. I would do it today, but i'm about to drive up to myrtle beach SC, for the last day of mustang week.

I would do it yourself too. That's one of those things shops tend to rush and end up doing wrong.

Yes, i'm using the same heads and intake.I really got ripped off the first time with the 331.It was built 6 years ago. I paid to have the lower intake and heads gasket matched, that didn't happen. I told the engine builder, I wanted forged everything, my crank isn't. And when we took the oil pan off, no girdle on the main caps that I paid for.
I also heard many good things about fordstrokers, and I got everything I paid for, plus a T-shirt.

Great times! I'm excited for you since I know all about having the car sit around for years Mines on it's 4th year and second car cover. Your rattle can job in the engine bay doesn't look half bad

I'm glad I'm not the only one anymore.

I had hoped to get the truck done quick and start back on the car. That idea got kicked in the balls real fast

thanks! thats one thing I was afraid of. My wife was already starting to say, fix it or sale it! you see cars all over on the side of houses or in garages that never get fixed. The guys are holding on saying one day i'll get around to it , but never do. I see how that could happen to any one.
