The 200 is the inline six that was in the classic Stangs. I've seen those run 23 second quarters, so yeah, we could beat them.

I had a 200 six in my old 66, and sadly it would easily beat my 88 LX 2.3.

Hey Truimph now makes a 2.3 3cyl bike.....biggest factory made engine. Almost 150fp of torque.....off topic but came to mind when I read this.

I never had a Cougar actually. I never ran either car, i'm just going by feel.

i have a 65stang with a stock 200I6 lets just say every car i meet up with puts me to shame (not that i race it) but yeah i cant drive on the freeway with it, its mainly a cruiser, i have some money into the body. even though its damn damn slow my girlfriend likes it better than my 5.0

slo65, its ok....classic mustangs have proved them self over 40 years ago, they have the right to just "cruise"


Anyone else have people say to them about the fox body stang " Ohhh, thats a mustang? "

What about the old 3.3L I-6 that they put in some of the early-mid 80's Mustangs? I heard that thing was dog slow too.

3.3L works out to about 200ci, which is the motor we're talking about.

What kinda engine did i have in my old 76' mustang II? Now that thing couldn't beat a power wheel. and it was a 5spd. I Loved That Car. Why did i sell it.

that was a 2.8 v6 and they have no power either. i had a 4x4 Bronco II with an auto and it had no get up but it did go through the mud bad ass
