I have Bassani x/w cats and SLP LM1 but i am getting tired of the sounds, its way too loud, neighbors always complain when i come up to my driveway. Can the mufflers be unbolted and replaced with a quieter pair, or do they have to be cutoff and have new pair welded on? I dont want to purchase a new set of catback. I have had these on for approx a year.

Thanks

i got mine from my buddy when he traded his cobra in. he had both sets and sold me the LM2's for $50

Yes, I believe the older ones are already welded on and do not clamp off. Just look under your car and you should be able to tell.
For the LM2s. They are a bit quieter, I would say about 30-40% quieter. They have more of a deeper, aggressive tone to them. Sounds much, much better.

The car is in the shop now, but i remember seeing a clamp by the tail pipes, not sure if there is another one further inside where the other one is. I will have to check again when i get it back before i order. 30-40% quieter is good, if its clamped, i will definatley get it replaced soon. maybe looked on classified for a used set.

SLP regulates what prices there product is sold for. So the best deal you will find is 10% off retail. Unless you buy used or some one is trying to cheat the system.:nice:
