just got my '04 about a month ago and was thinking of going with the Magnapack, but was curious if anyone has heard the SLP loudmouth that this site advertises. is it any good? does it have the aggressive sound they say it does? any info would be appreciated. thanks.

Hey,

I have an 04 too, i originally ordered the SLP catback for mine, then ended up getting a call from SLP and they told me they were afraid to ship it since it hadnt been tested on an 04, they said 99% chance it would work, but i guess there were a couple of customers who had fitment issues when putting them on an 04. I said no thanks, last thing i wanted to do was get a $370 exhaust kit and have fitment issues then have to return it, so i ended up getting magnaflow. The SLP would probably work though, i just didnt feel like being a high roller at the time, most of the time i am though

I highly doubt that there would be fitment issues because the SLP catback is very adjustable. Meaning there are 3 or 4 pivot points throughout the piping that allows you to curve it around the gas tank and align the tips. The quality is excellent and it sounds very mean. I have the Longtubes and O/R X-Pipe and it is extremely LOUD! Sounds like a pissed off nascar with the X-Pipe.

friend of mine has SLP catback with the prochamber. Doesn't sound that great. Personally it doesn't sound like quality.. I'd rather opt for Magnapack for $330 shipped or Borla stinger catback...

Yeah, I don't really like Josh's exhaust either. He could get away with it though, if he had some balls to go along with that noise.

I have the MagnaPacks on mine and I LOVE 'EM! They actually sound even better now than when I first got them on. And they sounded nothing less than awesome then! They have an amazing sound, in my opinion, and are not too loud as some have said in the past. Mine still has the stock midpipe. I've only heard sound clips of the SLP and some of them have sounded similar to the Packs, but I'd have to hear one in person to give an honest opinion. I do believe you'll not be sorry if you go with the Packs though. I've had so many compliments on mine. Happy choosing!

I love my SLP catback! It is very loud and very deep. Not too loud at idle, but very agressive at wot. PM me if you would like to hear a soundclip.

Since i live in the same town as SLP's Headquarters i had a chance to last summer go check out and hear the complete exhuast system(LT's, x-pipe, and "loudmouth") on their 03 GT and i must say it sounded down right awesome. Come may i'll have it all on my car. However a couple of my friends have put just the "loudmouth" on their car with different companies x-pipes and it didn't sound as nice or as crisp than with the SLP equipment. One friend that has an off-road x with the loudmouth and it sounds terrible. So in my opinoin the exhuast only sounds good when the slp x-pipe is paired with it.

Alot of people hear the popping on SLP sound clips and don't like it. Mine only pops when the motor is cold. I hate the way it sounds, but when it warms up, it's the best sounding cat-back I've heard.

i've had my slp since october,i've never had a problem with it. i love it, it sounds awesome, goes on easier than any other system i've ever done, also the tips look badass. i had magnapacks b4 my slp and the slp blows it away it quality and sound. keep cats with it though otherwise it sounds horrible.

I ordered my catted xpipe and catback from SLP 3 weeks ago. It should be there soon. Once installed I will let you know but from what I heard and see HP wise, it looks pretty mean

I orderd the full SLP exhaust system. The Cat-back and X-pipe are sitting in my back room while i wait for the back ordered headers. They should be here next week, then I'm going to install them that weekend

I think you will be pretty happy with the catback alone then when u get enough $$$, get the matching xpipe.
