Smell under some hard acceleration...clutch? Surely not...

I like your thinking. Depending upon the current setting/point of engagement, I would dial some slack into the cable adjustment (as if screwing-in the FWA [tightening]). This will move the point of engagement (POE) closer to the floor, so you know that you are fully engaging the clutch.

If you still burn clutch after that, that rules out the adjustment as much as possible. Dont mess up your permanent adjustment though (if your POE is near the top, on a hot, ready to go motor, I would slacken the cable and drive a short distance and see what gives. Be careful of going too far and not disengaging when the pedal is to the floor). I had to fart around with mine like that for a bit due to a minimal actuation because of my quadrant.

I know when I usually go wide open throttle or even above 3,500 rpms, I always get a smell inside the car like exhaust fumes. Maybe cause i'm running dumps? I don't know..
