Smog pump just seized

Belt started squealing after I gave her a hard romp. Figured it just needed some tightening or dressing since the belt was old and the squeal quieted down after awhile. When I got home and popped the hood I noticed that the smog pump pulley was not spinning.

Any how since I don't have cats I really don't need the pump, but I don't feel like deleting it at the moment (I don't want to go through the hassle of plugging the holes in the heads and what not). Can I just reroute a shorter belt and leave the pump on?

What size belt would I need? The car does have an AC compressor.

Yeah you can just rip it out... or bypass it, doesn't really matter. Lose some weight if you delete it...
As for belt installing, just stick a prybar or anything semistrong on the tensioner and crank it over. Slip the old one off, new one on and release it. Takes like a couple of seconds :) Belt length.... no idea. I run a 59", but I have more stuff out. There's some site somewhere with diagrams of it, but I'm not sure on the addy.

Figured I could just pry the tensioner up. I'll probably delete the pump when I put the car into storage for the winter. For right now I just want the car running so I can enjoy her for the rest of the warm months.

6 rib belt right?

theres a nice picture on one of my threads that someone posted for me, type in Paul Perreca in the search, and it will give you all the stuff that i've been in, look for somethin about a belt, and theres nice pic of a/c delete, smog delete, both, etc... gives you lengths, and way to run the belt....
