ok so this mornin my smog pump went out on the 86 and blew my serpentine belt .. i want to just delete the thing rather than buy a new one.. i read that you can run a shorter belt (84.5") and just not go around the pump but does this mean i still need to take the pump out and put ends on the hoses and all or can i just leave it there and leave it out of the belt pattern? i just wanna know if it makes any difference and all, also does anyone know where i can find a diagram or order to put the belt on my friend says they go in a certain order but he doesnt remember what order. thanks in advance gota get it right today so i can get to work tmrw
