smog pump woes

i just installed my new shorty bbk headers, and i couldt keep the smog tube that would go to my xpipe inplace becuase the bracket that holds it wont fit over the new headers. i am curious if i should just remove the whole system, or find a way to get it to work......


id rather remove it btw so i may see BOTH headers when i open the hood, they are pretty

If you don't have cats or emissions testing................... do as you desire.

Even if you do have cats, if there is no visual inspection it should still pass. Mine used to that way.
So i'd remove it.
Getting that tube off the back of the heads isn't going to be fun though.

2000, the possibility of shortening the cats' life was my concern.

Mine would not mount to the header either. I bent the bracket off and wire tired it to the transmission dip stick tube. No visual obstructions of the headers.
