They would use the 5.0 figures and requirements for the same year car.
Keep in mind for the purpose of passing smog restrictions you can put a later engine in an earlier car. You cannot put an earlier engine in a later car since the earlier engine will not have the required smog equipment. It is an early block with later model parts, that will be OK.
