Bout to get some new headlights for the lx, and definitely gonna go smoked. I've looked around on ebay and such... and have found only one set that looks decent. This one :

These are 178.00 Shipped

The only problem i have is that the lens is not clear, so not only does the lens hurt the light output its smoked on top of that. I want to know if any company makes an ultra clear smoked lens (oxymoron i know). This is an example except these lights look like ****, and hence cost 99.00:

The lens's in this setup is clear, but it looks like rice. Does anyone make a set that looks like the top but with a clearer lens?

I think the top will look fine, and work fine

It just looks darker since there is no light going through it and they are right behind each other. Once light goes through, it will work fine. Get a decent set of bulbs (Perhaps the Sylvania Ultras) and it will be fine.

the question to your answer is NO..... no one makes a ultra clear smoked headlight... i have been searching for 2 weeks now!. They make the standard style headlight smoked (which I had) and they also make the bottom ones you posted (which I have now)....... thats it..... like someone stated above.. the bottom ones do look better once installed - see pic of my car- but they are not the look i am going for....... Im still debating on what to do.....

I can say that the light output on either of the tinted lights SUCKS.... I have silverstars and still cant see very well at night... but for the amount of time i drive in the dark its ok i guess.....

ummm... my smoked lights killed my light output, even with the silverstars...
so i went HID as well...

mine ran me 480 total... including fiberglass, bondo, and paint and everything....
i'm running bi-xenon E46 Projectors (same as the BMW M3)... picked them up off of ebay...
love them... got my set with ballasts, ignitors, bulbs, and projectors...
also picked up a wiring harness, so as to not fry the old wiring... got that off of suvlights.com

is that one of the plug-and-play kits where there is just an HID bulb that fits the stock (9004?) spot?

i was wondering bout em.

any more pics with them on too?

yeah.....

there are...

they glare so terrible.... please do it right and seal the beam...

i had a write up...
http://forums.stangnet.com/search.php?searchid=1510414

for reference check with raceoholic330 and mustang5L5.. i dont remember which, but one of them had an amazing write up, and they both were very knowledgeable and helpful most likely they linked in my write up as well.
those are the resources i used.... :D

your car looks fuccking sick:nice:

Thanks man!

I had my friends drive at me from far away and then pass by me and i asked if they glared at them at all and they told me no. If it was bad i would take them off but i dont really have the fiberglass skill to do it the right way like u did but i really wish i could. So I really dont think they glare all that much. Heres a pic of them next to an 07 toyota corolla S's headlights.
