Smoking Problem

Due to a transmission leak, my h-pipe and mufflers are coated with a baked on layer of fluid. When the car starts to get warm and the fluid starts burning off some more, it smokes. It really likes to do it at traffic so it can come up into the windows. My car hates me.

Is there something I can do to stop the smoke? Header wrap or some kind of paint or anything?

That'd be the answer.

Then get under there with your favorite high powered degreaser and let 'er rip. Hose that puppy down with the stuff and let it sit... then get the junk off of the midpipe.

Ive seen third gens catch on fire from trans fluid.

OK, let me ask another question. How much, in everyones opinion, should it cost, parts and labor, to replace the front seal, rear main seal, and the pan gasket?

You can do the pan / rear on your own.

replace your tailshaft seal. i have to do mine this weekend as well. same problem. all you have to do is remove the driveshaft. if you were to pay someone to do it it would probobly cost an hour labor + the seal.
