i just bought a 99 cobra last week. It is now smoking out of the left tail pipe. The previous owner had straight pipes ran back into flows. ill be replacing the exhaust with ford racing shorties, bbk x pipe, and flows...will this help? What could i expect to pay to have the motor rebuilt? Anyone know what the problem might be?

Well, we need more info. What color is the smoke? Does it happen all the time? Is it only when it is cold out or when hot too?
Sometimes you can have exhaust that comes out more on 1 tailpipe than another. I would imagine having no x or h pipe could cause that, but not sure.
