Anyone know the process of smoking (making the shine go away with a dark tint) the "GT" emblems and the front honeycomb pony? I think this will go well with my dark tint and mach 1 lip. Is this an easy thing to do or should I take it to a paint shop and have it done professionally? Thanks

Here's an idea, why not take them off and paint them. They have the tinted chrome spray you can use.

Check the ' "tinting" spray ' thread below...this might work for what you want to do. I'd like to do this myself. I saw a generic 4 door late model sedan with emblems like this the other day...car was crap, but the emblems were way cool.

Thanks for the ideas guys. Seems to be a variety of responses, is there someone who's tried this personally and could possibly show some pics?

Blev- I'm from Socal also, where can you get this tinted chrome spray that you mentioned.

My friend painted emblems on his ford probe black (wont be black if you dont put alot on). The Probe is done in chrome, and the outer rim of the ford emblem is chrome. He just used "Nite Shades" I believe its made by VHT. Gi Joes has it, ricer shops alot of times have it. If you cant find it locally check summitracing.com. I think they have it IIRC
