sn95 Brake Question

I bought everything needed for the 5lug conversion but couldnt get the brake line off the GT, I bought SS lines but it wont be here till like next week, and I am going to start my 5lug conversion on sunday/saturday night since my tires are bald, and I wanted to know if I can use the fox lines for now??

do you have access to a flaring tool and a tube cutter?iff so then you can just cut and flare them

nope dont have access to a flaring tool, but if i did i wouldnt know how to use one.. anyways found my answer on the tech artical on stangnet..... so i guess i gotta buy some banjo bolts and washer before this weekend

Your better off waiting for your Maximum Motorsports lines, as after you install everything you will have to bleed your brakes, then after you put your new lines in you will have to bleed your brakes again.

your answer is correct, just use the newer banjo bolts and new washer and you will be good to go. I have S/S on mine now and plan on keeping them and just running the 99+ banjo bolt.

question? how do you replace/take out the banjo bolts?? i went to the wreckers today but had no luck??

A wrench. It's just a bolt. Unscrew it.

You failed to mention what calipers you were running. The Fox lines won't mate up to certain SN95 calipers

I believe they will but you need to grind off the little tab. and agreed with the wrench/bolt. Just unscrew it and slide it out.

If he is getting Stainless Lines from MM in a week, why go through all the hassle to install them, just to remove them again, doesnt make any sense!

well my tires are really bad, I mean the wires are starting to show..... Plus I have school from 8 - 6 and work, and sunday/saturday night is the only time i can get a chance to work on the car...

I dont mind taking it out and re-doing them again, atleast all the hard part is done.....

It just seems like doing it 1 time the correct way is much easier than wasting extra money and rigging it, only to go back and do it again. Maybe its just me, but I would rather do the work right 1 time and not have to mess with it again. The M/M Braided lines you have coming are nice as you dont need an adapter to bolt them on the P/S like you would with SN95 lines.

Shakerhood - I know it would be easier, but for me im alittle afraid that if I dont change it soon, something might happen... But anyways, Im not useing the sn95 lines im useing the foxlines just useing the sn95 banjo bolts to screw in to the calipers...

I know but I dont have to wait anymore just got my MM brake lines today checked my tracking number at work today and it was delivered at 1 this afternoon, so the whole day i was like, I just wanna go home
