sn95 dash swap steering column?

Among other things I'm doing to my 84lx I want to do a sn95 dash swap. I've heard people speak of fabbing brackets and stuff so I know I'm in for some fun figuring that out. I'll be doing the doors and console too. I think the only thing I'm worried about is the steering column. I've heard people say something about having to modify the firewall and was wondering if anyone knew anything about this. I'll have anything I could possibly need since my 95gt won't be running anytime soon and I can get a replacement dash for it when I do. Thanks for any input or advice on this swap
