I'm curious too. There's a few cars that I have that I'd like to program, and they offer a multiple car tuning package thing. It seems pretty decent, and offers about all of the things that the other tuners have.

2002BLGT:

Is this software like Subaru/EVO Open ECU or does it marry to your car? Can I modify and copy custom tunes flashed on my ECU? What do the "bullets" do?

I would love someone to come out with open source tuning for Fords.

very interested in this as well. i just put some comp 270 cams in my car and its not running so well anymore, needs a tune BAD. i was originally thinking about buying the tweecer r/t but there seems to little to no support for it with my car, all i can find is people running it on the fox bodies.

also roughly how much does this software cost?

I haven't heard too much about it. I imagine most people are afraid to try something that isn't that well known.

i am going to give it a try here in about a week. i dont want my diablo anymore so im going to sell it for $100 with power cable. this sniper tuner seems like it would be pretty good. kind of the equivalent to the sct pro racer package which costs an arm and a leg.

I have had good experiences with my sniper and good experiences with the company itself (pat, chris, etc Sniper in FL) and WILLIE (2002blkgt), who had made me a sweet custom tune to get me up and running with my new mods...

In my experience though.......The Sniper set up I bought would not allow me to compensate enough for all the mods I did. I was moments from buying a wideband to go with it when WILLIE made me a SWEET tune. for cheap....... He's good peeps, if you go sniper hit him up

Oh yeah....FYI, if you purchase, I'd talk to Either Willie 2002blgt or call sniper and request the latest software version... Someone else if you don't ask, may send you an older version that's been in stock for a little while...

the special forces system is a step below sct pro racer. the comando system is comperable and ive been told that its better. you really cant compair the special forces system to sct pro racer. they are in different classes and price ranges. special forces should be compaired to handhelds like sct xcal and diablo preditor. they are in the same price ranges.

well if u compare it to handhelds its better than both of those. I guess it would be a good tuner in between handheld and pro racer package.

I've never had a handheld nor the SCT pro racer so I can't say for sure..........

But yes, you can do data logging in like a million different fields, way more than I'd even know what I was looking at....it has many different triggers and all sorts of options you can tell it when you want it to start recording...... (this is also why I say if you purchase, to call one of those guys above....it wasn't until ver. 11 or 12 i beleive that recon data logging was included)

But remember.....You have no AFR sensor so you don't want to mess with things too much because you don't have a 100% clear picture of where your car is currently at.....(although you do have the ability)

Here is an article that was cut and pasted onto the Sniper forum....it's a good walkthrough with the product and will have some screen shots that will show you some of the fields you can play with...... http://www.snipertuningforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=34

again, I've been very happy......... if you have anymore questions shoot....I'll do the best I can to answer em
