They were super helpful and seemed to realy know their stuff. The only problem now is that the darn kit for my 5.0 EFI Mustang and their GenX-2 kit (bottle heater, fuel pressure swtich, blow by tube, and purge) is over $1000 bucks.

They (NX) swear their stuff is better than any other brand and that a 100 shot will give you exactly 100 more HP at the wheels, and that other companies can't say that.

I just don't think I can spend that kind of cash when there's other kits for a lot cheaper than that. Also my dad has an old Compucar kit that he used for a long time. He'd give it to me if I wanted it. All I'd have to do then is call them up and buy a few items to make it fit my car.

What would you do? What do you think about NX versus the other brands?

I've used a NOS kit [Holley] and their stuff is great quality, but it lacks todays technology.

I've set up a Nitrous Express kit and it is far better quality and all fit together very nicely, but their price was extremely high and I didn't think it was worth it. Their tech support was excellent and everything looked great on the car.

I currently have a ZEX dry kit on my car, the technology is great, I know it's a good product [made by comp cams], and I love how easy it was to install.

The only downfall is the fact that it's hard to upgrade and make a really good nitrous system with just ZEX.. If you plan to go advanced with it [above a 200 shot] I highly suggest you look into NOS or NX. Zex is great if you plan to just use it for a lil' boost, but if you plan on using it all the time and plan to use it to win, go with something that is more complexed than just plumbing into your CAI.

There's my .02

This is just strictly going to be used on a street car for fun. I'd probably fill the bottle on a Friday, have a fun weekend, and then not use it the rest of the week. The car is my daily driver so I'm not looking for anything other than that.

I'll probably end up used my dad's old Compucar kit, and just buy the stuff I need from them to make it fit my car. I know that will be the cheapest route, not that I'm trying to be cheap, but in this case I'm just looking to have a little fun with it.
