So I have purchased 4.10s..what next.

I've got the install kit also. What else do I need? I read that I need a transmission cooler, and I was wondering why? How much is one and where can I get it? Any input would be nice. Car is 2001 gt with 43k.

If its an auto, then yes get a tranny cooler. That should be your first mod IMO

it should be done regardless if you have gears or are just bone stock your trans will thank you in the long run, because heat is the auto trans worst nightmare

With 4.10's, your engine rpms are going to be about 25% higher than stock 3.27's at any given speed, so your transmission internals will also be running proportionally faster as well. The cooler may provide some cheap insurance against the premature demise of your transmission, and certainly won't hurt anything.

You'll need gear oil and a bottle of friction modifier that you can get at a ford dealership for a few bucks. You'll also need a chip or programmer if you don't already have one to recalibrate your speedometer since you have an auto.
