My first pair was the original projector 2 piece kit for 94-98's.. (cracked the lens when closing my hood)

Second pair was the one piece black projectors (horrible fitment, broke the inserts going into the header panel)

Third pair was the "Black Beauty" as sold my 5.0 resto. (driver's side fogging up, broke the inserts again fitting it in the panel)

Just ordered my fourth:

I was going to buy the OEM cobra lights for my year, but they are over $500 for the pair! Screw that! Let's see if these are any better than the previous sets.

I ordered some for my car from mustangtuning they look awesome. I had them for like 3 months then the passenger side got water all in it. Be sure to put some silicon around the edges before you put them in!

silicon around the edges of what? The bulb insert? Is there any detailed instructions on how to install headlights. Maybe I am doing something wrong?

i had the original 2 piece projectors a few years ago also. You need to clear silicone around the edge where the headlight is pressed together (front-back) mine leaked and that fixed them. Since you did order them i doubt the lighting output is any better then before so i would add a HID kit. They would be legal since you would have the seperate high beam.

So, where the lens meets the rear housing? Silicone around the whole perimeter? I thought the leaks came from where the bulb enters the back of the light. Has anyone siliconed this?

mine leaked from the top of the light assembly not from the bulb location, i'd silicone everything just to prevent any moisture.
