O.K. right know I have a tri-ax on my car but it's a buddy of mines and now he wants it back. So I'm looking for another one, I really don't want another tri-ax because i think there alittle hard shifting. I was thinking of getting a B&M but what do you guys think??? I just want a good, reliable shifter that also shifts pretty smooth.

usually people want the "notchy" feel of shifters... and a positive stop. i think thats what you will find with most aftermarket shifters... if i was to recommend the best shifter on the market i would say go with an MGW, but tis a very short shift, and is pricy. the next step down is probably a pro 5.0 and i'm very happy eith mine. if you absolutely need a smooth shift, you might wanna try to find something with eurethane bushings...

a non-notchy shifter would be a stock one with a shorter handle....BUT you need stops.....

I say pro-5.0. I have had one for 3 years now and have zero issues

throwing in with michael.

Go with the MGW if you don't like the tri-ax that much.

This pops up every once in a while. GO WITH THE MGW. You won't find an unhappy owner. I just grabbed the first shifter I saw and am happy with it (the B&M), but if I had to do over again, would get an MGW.

I took a look at the MGW's and damn there nice There price isn't bad either I mean $170 for a shifter isn't bad at all, considering some are around $200

i really like my tri-ax but then again I've never tried a pro5.0 or mgw... I don't think you can go wrong with any of the 3.

what if you got a tri-ax for cheap, but replaced the springs for some that have a little less pressure?

i just got a tri-ax w/ the tr3550 and like it waaay better than the stocker, but i would like to loosen it up just a bit. hehe, maybe i'll cut a coil and see what that's like.
