you can either clean/weld that thing up, or... now would be a great time for some Battle boxes Its fixable, the question is... are you willing?

if you know someone who can weld and knows anything they could help you out. I would tackle it myself.

Its not pretty, but it can be fixed up. If you have a daily driver you should clean the whole underside down to bare metel and have it under coated or something. only after you have had some new torque boxes welded in!

If anybody says more than 300 bucks go out and buy a wire feeder/MIG welding outfit. Mig welding is easiest to pick up and learn quickly.

the s plate or box or whatever would be a really good solution, i belive it runes 300-400 bucks and i forgot which company, but they usually have adds in the back of 5.0 mootang and fast fords. the add is like black and green and is usually on the edge of the page. lol, sorry i couldn't be any more help. hell, im working in AZ right now, and highly suggest finding a donor in here if all else fails. lol iv'e seen 57 bel-airs down here unrestored without a spec of rust!
Yeah, I would rather install aftermarket parts than restoring it as I would benifit more.
I will dig thru the back of mags right now....I think I know what you are talking about.

Im in Phoenix AZ and you hardley ever see any rust buckets down here. I happened to not only find one but buy one as well(to good of deal to pass up). However it was from Texas and the rust is not that severe. One thing about rust tho it is like cancer, it seems to spread so I would take a good look at the rest of the car while you are at it.
