OK, I want to get this down for sure.

IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY:

If I run an o/r midpipe, and use MIL eliminators, will I be able to just roll through the inspection station?

What exactly do they do in jersey regarding the emissions inspection? OBDII scan and thats all? Or do they do a probing (where they actually test the exhaust gasses ??) and do they do visuals?

I don't think I want to bother with swapping out my midpipe every 2 years if I have to. It's just too much of a pain.

Thanks!

You will fail the visual, they check that before they do the OBDII scan.

FAIL!!! ok if i failed for sequential taillights and "hood lights" (that weren't even on.) you will def fail for having no cats. plus they'll probly complain that your exhaust is "too loud" NJ sucks these days for cars. They have gotton worse every year and unless your car just rolled off the showroom floor you'll fail for something.

There's no law dictating at what rate the rear lights can blink.. So, donno how they failed you for that..

This December. Paper said "sequential taillamps" and the guy said "they can't blink like that, jersey state law" guess the local cops and the state troopers didn't get that memo. I've had them follow me and nothing.

P.S.>>>>>>DOES ANBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A LIST OF THESE DUMB LAWS ((NEW JERSEY)) WE MUST ADHERE TO? I SPENT AN HOUR ON THE DMV WEBSITES AND NOTHING.

If that's the case, I'll be pissed. I bought the car this way and said "Hell, if it fails the dealer will have to fix it.. otherwise I dont have to worry about it.." If the law changed, I'll be ticked.

I'd also like to see the laws that apply to us. They should be easily available since we can all be prosecuted for not knowing them
