so track lock went, where should i go from here?

ok well best time is in my sig, went again tonight this time with subframe connectors, lookin for a high 1.7, didnt happen, instead my track lock went, i knew it would happen, just didnt think it'd happen tonight , anywho i'm 18, work a low paying job, about to start school soon, wonder what should i do just the simple rebuild then keep racing, i'm on 235/60/15 mt et street radials, they're not the widest tires but apparently they stressed my rear end enough, anywho looking for opinions, i've heard of adding a clutch to make it stronger, any truth to this?

just new clutches if your tight on money

how long did the clutches last the first time? if they didnt last long, getting new ones will probably cause the same problem down the road. a nice locker would help but thats $600ish but then your problem is gone permenantly. im in the same boat as you. after about 10-15 burnouts and 7 runs down the track, my brand new trac-lock is done. going to go with a locker most likely. i hate one wheel burnouts

If money is tight just go w/ the rebuild kit. Save 2 of you best clutchs i and insert one into each side. I've done that to one of my cars in the spring and it locks up really well.

clutch kits with two extra clutches can be had for about $65 shipping included on eBay...and if you've got enough mechanical inclination to wipe your own rear without a roadmap, and a basic assortment of handtools, you should be able to rebuild it yourself, saving labor costs. i just tore my old one apart yesterday in about ten minutes.

take out the lock pin, pop out the 's' spring, rotate the spiders out, then pull the axle spiders, and clutches...clean it religiously, then soak your new clutches and steels, and install them and reassemble the unit as outlined in the directions. done!

so track lock went, where should i go from here?
