so who knows their cams?

alright so i got a buddy who called me up today... he said he was going with a bigger cam, what kind exactly i have NO idea... but he said if i wanted his cam once he takes it out, i could have it... i again, asked what kinda cam it was... he said it was a custom grind? anyone have experience with a custom grind? school me!

a custom grind cam is "custom ground" for a certain application or motor combination. if you have a different set up than him it kind of defeats the purpose of it being a custom cam.

only thing he has different is a trickflow upper/lower i believe... other than that we'll both be runnin twisted wedges, u/d pulleys, ill have a cobra upper/lower and a 75mm bbk tb w/ a CAI

find out who made it and the part number so then you can get the specs of it. putting a mystery cam in is not a good idea

There is a guy in your neck of the woods who knows a little bit about custom cams and valve trains

Perhaps you've heard of him

His name is Ed Curtis

I know if I lived local to him I'd show up at his shop with a case of beer and a broom.

I'd offer the refreshment and my services to sweep the floor just to pick up what knowledge might be over heard.

but
I just couldn't get past the bizarreness (is that a word?)

of the Q and Ed being local to you

As was said above ...... if you could get the specs
peeps replies would be ....... or at the very least .........
could be way, way more accurate
