self employed for a long time now, only way to roll. Still work alot but much larger returns than working for someone else making them rich.

As a matter of a fact I've still got 20 vacation days left
I drive 100km back and forth to work every day... Company vehicle with gas card. ^_^

Nothing like the smell of fresh cut grass though!

36 hours one week, 48 the next....3 days on the short week and 4 on the long week, never work more than 3 days straight, 12 hours a day....it's awesome. Friday comes like 3 times a week for me and i get 2 day weekends every time i get a day off, and every other weekend is a 3 day weekend...it rocks.

I've worked 54-56 hours a week during the summer for the past 3 years at a Harley-Davidson dealership. I get my hours cut back to around 40 in the winter because people are pussies and don't ride in the cold. It's great having time off, but sucks having no money. I love my job though!

I usually work 47-51 hours a week and al it seemed like I did was work, come home and sleep and go back to work again.. I have a thyroid disorder though, so I am tired pretty much all the time even on medication.. I just got a promotion though and got bumped to salary, so my hours will go down and my pay will go up. Plus I get all the perks of being upper management, company vehicle, gas card, company outings, 2 weeks of vacation, fishing trips, etc. Working hard and busting your ass will pay off eventually.. I busted my ass for 2 years in college, got my degree and got a job.. And now I see that I am finally getting somewhere.. My girlfriend complained before about my work habbits, but now she sees that my efforts werent fruitless and understands why I worked all I did..

I worked for the USPS as a temp. employee for 9 months a few years ago. It was a parcel Air Mail facility (tossing lots of boxes and bags full of mail).

We usually worked 40 hours plus 4-5 hours overtime. It always got busy at the holidays and in December it peaked. We got 54.97 hours the 2nd week of Dec, 66.16 hours in the 3rd, and Christmas week we got 81.51 hours. Most I've ever worked in one week. Go home, sleep a few hours, go to work. I went into robot mode. I was pretty tired of that job after that.

24 on 48 off , sometimes 48 on 24 off if I pick up an overtime shift or get "drafted" which means you are forced to work mandatory overtime , its a county based EMS service and all trucks must be on the road 24/7 , peoples lives depend on it , sucks when you have plans though , on top of that I am a deputy on SWAT and on call 24/7......keeps me busy!! but if I take one shift off I have 5 days off.....2 shifts 10 days off....so If I geet burned out I just take a vacation day!

I have worked since May anywhere from 50-60 hours on an average. Two weeks ago I worked 72 hours.

I also go to school at the University of Central Arkansas for 9 hours. Working out atleast every other day and no less. Homework, demanding girlfriend...etc.

It is pretty draining...

Last year I used to work crazy hours. A few weeks I was close to 80 hours.

Lately I dont work much more than 40 hours because of a screwy situation where my boss owes me 60+ hours.
