We're coming up on one of the biggest car weekends of the year next weekend. Who's going to be doing what?

We will be taking my LX on Pony Trails on Friday. I'll have my new Cervini's Heat Extractor hood on and painted by then as well as my 03 GT seats installed.

The LX will also be going with us over to Bremerton on Saturday for the All Ford Drags and Show & Shine. It will be showing and shining, but the racing ought to be fun to watch.

Sunday we'll have the wife's Cobra at the Round-Up for the participant's choice show.

Thankfully, I took Monday as a vacation day.:nice:

I will be bringing my 06 GT to the cruise on Friday and to the picnic in Bellevue on Sunday. Hopefully I will finally get to meet some of you!:nice:

Look us up Vic. I think you remember my wife's black 96 Cobra? We'll be in the SVT section.

Im going to race CCC and All Ford Drags on sat and go to the peoples choice show on sunday (grubby car from racing and all). At least thats the current master plan.

My car has been possessed by Satan for the past week. I spent the weekend under the damn thing. Assuming the exorcism took (I even drove it to church this morning just for good measure, and that didn't help), I'll be at the people's choice show on Sunday.

I think it's a ground problem, but it's a f---ing doozie: when I crank the starter, the entire car shuts off. Everything -- lights, radio, alarm. I've loosened, cleaned, and re-seated every ground between the battery and the solenoid, replaced the solenoid, took apart the kill switch. . . it's intermittent, so I dunno if I I've solved it or not.

Earlier in the week, my starter had worked loose; I'd had to shim it with halved washers to make it line up with the flywheel on the H.O. block (the stock H.O. starter won't clear the tranny xmember on a II, and the Bendix gear on the Mustang II starter is apparently offset by about 3/16" from the 5.0 flywheel), and one of the washers slipped out so it was cockeyed and occasionally not engaging -- and sometimes not disengaging. Now the starter is killing the whole car. :bang:

Last year, my engine blew up three days before the show. :fuss:

But I digress. Anybody spare some duct tape?

When are these saturday and sunday events happening and where? I might be driving up there this coming weekend.

I want to go pretty bad, but don't have anyone to go with. If anyone around the Portland/Vancouver area is heading up there and wouldn't mind some company, I'm game. I'll be bringing my GT up if I can find some people to go with.

I don't think I'll go by myself if that's the only option though. :nonono:

Turbo Thunder is also at Bremerton on the 15th, Nate and I are going to be there to spectate.

Ahhh man, your not gonna bring your car? I would like to see that thing run. Well hopefully you will get a chance to stop by the Ford Drag Teams tent. Would be cool to meet some of the southern NW folk. I will be driving the white 91 LX hatch turbo car.

Racing at Bremerton for CCC.

Hoping I can at least make a drive out to the car show on Sunday in the Cobra but chances are it still won't be driveable.

What time would you be heading over to Bremerton? I may be meeting Wythors on saturday morning and heading on over on the ferry...

I have to be at the track by 8am, so we leave as a pack (several racers) from Marysville at 6am.

Drive around in the morning, depending on how things go in the afternoon sometimes take the ferry home.
