solid motor mounts..but solid tranny mount?

I think you'll feel a LOT more vibrations through a solid transmission mount than you'll feel with your solid engine mounts--you sit right beside the transmission and basically on top of the transmission cross-member, whereas the engine is a little more isolated up front. I've got a stock rubber mount on my T5 and poly motor mounts. I can feel a little vibration (not as much as solids), but not nearly as much as when the shifter base was bumping up against the tunnel opening (equivalent of a solid mount).

You should not have all points on solid mounts. If you have solid motor mounts then you should keep a rubber/poly isolated one on the tranny. You can actually break the transmission case from what I have heard although I cannot verify that. You would also have a lot more vibration with a solid transmission mount also.

Should I go solid or rubber mount for a transmission when using solid motor mounts? I didnt really want solid mounts up front but there arent a lot of options with a MII

i got rubber mounts with my heidts kit. i want some solids. if you wanna trade let me know. i was planning on drilling and bolting the mounts together. i havent seen any solids for sale anywhere.

I have solid motor and tranny mounts in my cobra and no problems yet. also on my old fox i ran solid all around w/o problems. i would think rubber mounts and a solid tranny mount would give you problems when the engine torques.
