Im putting together a windsor for my 94 ran have some ?s. what do i do about a dipstick? there isnt a place in side of block, its in the timing cover. Will this still work? the only thing on the front if the engine will be water pump and alt. Can i use the march alt brackets for a fox instead of using the big heavy stock bracket to mount the alt?

If you buy a large sump oil pan like a Moroso, or a Canton, there will be a dipstick hole in the oil pan.

How much planning have you put into getting the 351 into the car?

Every oil pan you can use (ford swap pan, canton, etc) will have the dip stick in the pan. Not the block. Not the timing cover.

Most guys in this section use the 94-95 timing cover and the stock accessory brackets since they bolt up without issues. You may want to go to the fox section if you arent going to use the 94-95 brackets. The fox brackets do not bolt right up, thus they would have more ideas for how to make it work for you.

I have a Canton oil pan on my 351w that has a port for a dipstick. I think I got the oil pan kit from Holcomb motorsports long time ago.

I am using a fox body timing cover, its longer and it was a tight fit with the radiator and fan. I suggest staying without the sn-95 cover.

I am using March performance accessory brackets, if you get the cheaper version of them you can polish it out yourself. They will look just the same.
