So I'm on my way home last night and some a-hole has a chip on his shoulder...Here's the order of events...

I'm in the middle lane, he's in the right lane. He decides he wants over, so he comes over with less than a car between us. Fine, whatever, I hit the right lane and keep scooting. He cuts to the left lane and starts flying up because I apparently pissed him off somehow, not sure... I moved back to the middle lane and slowly made my way back in front of him(still in middle lane, he's in left). I put on my signal and pulled back in front of him to make room for traffic coming on from ramp. He decides to get all up on my ass, to where I couldn't see him bumper out my rear glass (less than 2-3ft). I thought about slamming on my brakes but didn't. Instead I kept in the gas and tapped to get brake lights but no braking pressure. He didn't back off so I let out of the gas to make him pass me. He bumped me, then went in right lane, came around and clipped my front corner as he came back into the left lane, trying to push me into the wall. At that point he started slamming on his brakes to try and make me hit him. Little does he know that I know how to drive my car like it's a race car and keep from hitting people in close proximity. Anyways, at this point we're in the middle of the bridge with rush hour traffic. He comes to a complete stop, gets out and comes back to my car, "What the ^uck are you doing? ...blah...blah...blah" to which I reply, "What are you doing? Trying to get us both hit!?!?!?" So we get across the bridge, as I'm calling the cops, and stop on the first ramp.

So on and so forth, cop says, "You have your story and he has his. I can either give you both tickets for reckless driving and tow your cars and let the judge work it out, or I won't give you anything and you can work it out with your insurance." So at the point, I"m like WTF!!! I didn't say a word, because I knew there was no point in hassling because there was no definative proof of who hit who, just that somebody hit somebody else. So now I have a broken corner lamp, fender trim piece, and a scratched bumper cover with no recourse. How fun is that???

I'm not pleased....His info...

Find a new cop, file an aggrivated assault report, take lots of pictures. Contact then your insurance company and inquire to them if you need to find a lawyer or if they can contact his insurance company directly.

Screw ******* cops, I've delt with far too many that simply don't give a ****.

If all else fails....pay his ass a visit, in one way or the other.

But seriously file assault charges. THAT will get your car fixed.

There's no witness other than myself and it really didn't hurt the car to bad. It needs repainted anyways, but it's the fact that the guy was a serious douche bag and got away with it. Total BS...I would encourage everybody to find any and all magazine subscriptions with the "bill me later" options and fill them out with his info and send them in. I suspect he is going to be getting a copy(or ten) of some controversial magazines soon.

This guy that hit you reminds me of my brother. I've been in the car with him several times to witness him getting into these little personal duels with people. He drives an 05 F-150 and I swear he has the biggest chip on his shoulder I've ever seen. The second anyone does the slightest thing he doesn't like, it's on! He gets to where he will not stop until he manages to pass them. So f'n ridiculous. It's gotten so bad that we ended up getting into arguments over it. I'm like, "man, you need to chill out. People are trying to get where they're going just like you are. Yes, people do stupid **** but it's not worth putting yourself (and me!) in danger over it." His response is always the same, "It's them! It's them! blah-blah-blah"

He's actually older than me so I'm sure it doesn't help having little brother telling him how to behave. To add to the terror, he is actually convinced that his truck "handles good". It's got the base factory wheels and tires at that. "No, it handles good to you because it's all you know." Riding with him can be down-right scary. He had a shell on the back of his truck that he admits flew off while he was, and this is in his own words, "road-raging".

I'm a little confused as to why you needed to get back in front of him if you were in the middle of a 3-lane road.

What does this teach us?

Thats right, if your car needs a paint job anyway, slam on the breaks.

Even here is florida a "no fault" state, if you are rear ended it is their fault. No strike against you what so ever. I will send him a few issues for you.

It went back down to two lane right before the said ramp right before the bridge. The far right lane exits.

Maybe you can give him a call at work and see if he is as professional at his job as he is on the road......

Superb!

Well I would never do something like that , but since I've put this rant on Turboford and Stangnet it's very possible that random people across the country could happen to slip subscription in the mail and sign him up for calling lists and magazines. But as I said, I would never do such a thing nor would I condone it. But as I like to say, to each his own. It's not my fault if others help this guy out with his magazine collection. I wish the guy would have went to jail like he deserved, but at least he'll have to pay postage to return magazines and cancel subscriptions. Let's just call it karma...

Now everybody! OFF TO WALMART AND THEN THE POST OFFICE!!!

And can somebody please help me with those graemlins? They keep popping up and I can't figure out how to get rid of them...

See Michigan is also a no fault state, a cop here would have seen rear damage to your car and automatically written him a a ticket. It's not like you reversed into him on the highway. Just by logic it should be easy to prove whom is at fault by looking at the damaged areas.

Phone records are traceable though, so no dice on that. That would be a good one though.
