some bad valve seals will it mess up comp. check

i wanna do a compression check to see what shape my motor is in but i think i may have bad valve seals with that efect the comp. check, ohh yea can u give me a run down on the whole prosses and what reading should i get, sorry never done one THANKS GUYS

No, valve stem seals will have no effect on a compression test. The actual valve to seat seal will though.
