Ok my dash temp gauge went on the fritz so I replaced it. Before the old one went I would run around the M in NORMAL. If I were to idle the car in the SFL heat it would climb to the R-O area. After I replaced the gauge It shot up to N almost immediately and would creep up if I drove it. Another strange (to me anyway) was if I put the key in the ign and turn it so I get power the temps shoot to the red, is that how its supposed to work? Once I turn it to the point the pump primes it goes back down. Do I have a bad sensor? When does the car overheat? Right now the temp sits at N but no over heating. Any help?
