I'm going to order an FTI cam this friday, an i need to know if my heads have been ported or anything. The reason why i ask this is my thumper heads were ported to a felpro 1250 gasket.

I just mic'd these edelbrocks i bought an they are slightly bigger then my thumpers. Does anyone know what size the intake ports are on Edelbrock heads??

I figured it out, but i wasn't talkin bout volume i was talking about the size of the port like 1.20x2.10. But thanks

I got to looking at the 1250 gaskets they are 1.20 x 2.10 that's why my edel's are my thumpers are a tad smaller like 1.17 x 2.08 which would explain the difference when i mic'd the ports.

You wouldn't happen to know the Valve Spring pressure's would you, i dunno what exactly that is. I know the max. lift on them is .575 but i dunno the pressure.

Really, just get the 1262's and keep the ports. My 1250's squeezed into the ports on the AFR 185's under pressure. for the spring pressure, I'd let a machine shop set it for the cam you get.
