Need a picture to see what it rubbing on. Whatever it's rubbing on it's rubbing, and with this one a picture is worth a thousand words.

Was the previous shock slotted on one of the mounting holes that allowed for camber changes? What is offset or backspace on the wheel? Do you still have OEM spindle/rotors/calipers?

Have you had the car aligned yet?

Loosen the two strut bolts slightly. The top bolt has enough slop in it to allow for up to 1* of adjustment for camber. The bottom bolt is your pivot. With the bolt loose, PULL the strut body out toward you. This should push the bolt back into the top spindle mount hole slightly and will angle the top of the strut away from the wheel around 1 degree. This might be enough. Tighten the two bolts ensuring this setting doesn't move.

Then go realign the car.

Depending on where you set the strut in relation to the spindle can cause this issue if the wheel BS is pretty deep. Seeing as you have it on one side and not the other, i bet they are both adjusted differently. For the sake of consistency you might want to adjust both side the same

In case you need a visual. Bottom bolt is usually tight in the spindle, but the top has some play. By adjusting this, you can angle the strut away from the tire a tad. Is it enough?
