I need to see how the rear exhaust hangers are bolted on!!! Are they bolted or welded... It is the hangers that hold the tail pipe tips and the hangers i think by the muffler... I want a 99 up exhaust on my car!!! NO MORE UNEVEN TIPS!!!! I am not having it!!! So any help appreciated on this!!!!

Both the muffler and tailpipe hangars bolt to the chassis.

I don't think moving to a 99+ catback is going to solve your problem. My 2001 had uneven tips when I had the stock catback, just the nature of the beast. Get yourself an aftermarket catback where you have some adjustability. I have a Magnaflow catback and the tips have tons of adjustability.

did you get an aftmkt setup that has uneven tips?

On the stock tailpipes just put a floor jack under the low one and jack it up a bit. If you go to much then jack the other one up some till you got em even.

Nah the one sticks out more than the other on the mac... I am going to buy SLP or Borla Stinger... And tips are adjustable... More adjustability on 99+ gt's... So thats why im doing it. I can get the hangers for like 25 bucks... Thanks a lot tho!!!

You installed them wrong. If the catback is for the 97 styled car and it doesnt fit without one tailpipe sticking out means three things:.

installed them wrong(getting hands dirty)
wrong catback(refund)
Mac screwed(refund)

if you want to jerry rig it you can just put a metal or plastic piece and some epoxy etc in right below where the hanger on the tip goes into the rubber female part of the hanger to get some lift.
