Someone help please

A few weeks ago my stock cd player bit the big one, so I viscously beat the hell out of it and the radio. I went to my brothers and picked up his stock Mach 460 radio and CD player. I have them installed and working but when you turn the vloume up past half way all of the bass goes away and it doesnt get any louder. Do I need the amps from the 460 or something? Is there a way to change the wiring so It doesnt do it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sweet man, Let me know if ya wanna go cruise or something sometime. You should have seen it last night. I had 2 super hot Bi-chicks goin at it in my back seat. It was awesome I almost wrecked like 4 times watchin that ****.

The Mach 460 is a piece of crap. I hate it...my bass has been completely out for three days now. This isn't the first time it's happened either. CDs get stuck in it all the time too. grrr.

It would be fine if the volume would go past half way. Thats just too low and I need more sound.

scrap it, buy a new Alpine head unit, upgrade your stock speakers, run a 0guage wire to a 1600watt amp and pound some 12 inch JLs in tha trunk... you will have plenty of bass then
