someone look at their 71-73 351C please, confirm where a wire goes

radio suppression condensor

I was cleaning misc electrical connections and a wire broke off. I am not positive where it came from...

The 4-pin connector to the voltage regulator, just under the solenoid, in the general vicinity of the battery.

On this connector there is one terminal which will have 2 wires. I think it is the second to bottom. There is a bright yellow wire in there now. The wire that broke goes to some small cylindrical thing mounted below the voltage regulator. I have no idea what it is.

Again, I think it is the second to bottom terminal of the voltage regulator connector that should have both wires. Would like to confirm this

the cylintrical thing is a capacitor, unhooked you will still charge but it wont be quite as smooth like a little noise out of the radio, i cant think of the automotive term for it at the moment but you can just butt connector it back togther

I found reference to it in a book, called a "Radio Suppression Condensor". The wire for the condensor/cap/whatever was very fragile, it also broke off right at that part. Hopefully autozone stocks them cause I dont want noise in the radio (dont see on website)

You guys must have been thinking I should have been able to tell which terminal had remains of two wires in it. However the bottom 2 of the 4 terminals on the VRM were for some reason corroded away so bad that it is hard to tell. From close examination I am 99% certain it is the second to bottom, so that is where the new condensor shall be installed unless someone speaks up

anyone know the rating of the capacitor within (mF) and/or another readily available part meant for another car?

the condensor for a points distributor i think is the same
