Hey guys, I'm planning on getting my exhaust system pretty soon for my 95 GT but I had some questions. Now, what I'm planning on getting before was the following: BBK LT's Spintech Sportsman Mufflers, and a Dr. Gas X pipe with tail pipes. Now I'm having second thoughts again and now don't know what to do and would appreciate any answers I can get on the following questions.
1. Does the Dr. Gas X REQUIRE welding? I don't have access to a welder and would rather not pay anyone something I can do myself so if I can clamp it together with the assurance it will be leak free, I'd much rather do that. However, I heard the Dr. Gas X comes in like 5 or so pieces and that means I would have to be a clamp for each and every piece, correct? If so, I can imagine that would add up fast, given SS clamps around like $9 or so.
2. If the Dr. Gas X was to be welded, what's a great after market that can be bolted up and still provide great fitment and easy installation? I keep hearing mixed things about VRS and UPR. Anyone know anything about those companies?
3. Lastly, for those of you in the know about Spintech's, I was tossing around the idea of stepping up to the Pro Streets. Does anyone have any idea of how that would sound? I'm looking for a sound level that is reasonable at idle and crusing speed, hardly any drone so I can have a conversation with a person in the passenger seat. However, when I go WOT, I want the sound of God's wraith to leave my tail pipes if you know what I mean. Will the Pro Streets provide this or will they be loud all around? Or maybe I should just stick with the Sportsman muffs?
That's all I can think of now but I know I'll definitely have more questions later on.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
