On a '93 5.0. Can you guys tell me how many wires go on the starter post on the starter solenoid?

There's the 1 big wire for the starter, but what about the smaller 10ga wire that is in the same loom. Does it go to the same post??

A friend took his '93 apart and can't remember where that wire goes. I don't have the wire on my '88.

The wire in question is tied into the same black factory wire look all the way to the starter area. Does this wire go on the starter side as well??

I have a 92. On mine, there are 2 large post. There is one wire to one side(small, activates the solenoid is energized in the crank position) and the rest of the wires, including both positive cables go to the other side. The other wire slips on the small post, that comes from the ignition switch. Hope this helps.

Do you have two wires taped into the same loom running down to the starter?

That's what's on his '93. We have no idea what this small 10g wire is running inside the loom containing the starter wire. We don't know if it goes on the side with the starter wire or on the other side with everything else?

There sound be a small post for the wire on the starter. THe 91-down car do not have it. THe other side goes up to the strater solenoid (I think), and you need it for the starter to work correctly. I'll douyble check in the am about the wire, and get back.

We have the wire for the small post. That's accounted for. That's not the wire i am referring to.

Ok how bout this. Does anyone have two wires inside the black loom going to the starter?? If so, where does the smaller 10ga one go to? The terminal end is the right size for one of the two posts...but whoch side? POS side or Starter side?

If your referring to the wires that go to the starter, the large power cable goes to the battery side of the starter relay. The smaller 10 or 12 ga. wire goes to the other post (the cranking side of the relay).

That smaller wire should be the only wire on that terminal. It activates the solenoid on the starter when the key is turned to start. All other wires to the relay go to the battery side of the relay, or to the posts that operate the relay (the ones with the plug connectors).
