This might be a stupid question, but here goes...I recently purchased a used cobra upper-n-lower intake manifold. When I got it I moved the upper around and I noticed a noise like something was rattling around inside of it . Is that sound suppose to be there? As far as I know there are no miving parts in the intake manifold???

Nah, the intake shouldn't have a rattling sound in it, it's just ports. Nothing fell out when you rattled it?

Could something be stuck between the oil splash guard and the bottom of the intake?

The splash guard is on the lower though, he said something's rattling in the upper intake. I thought the same thing though.

Got it!! After a couple more rotations, some shakes, a whole lot of "F" words a washer came toumbling out. What the F#CK? How would a washer get in there? Oh well, at least I got it out. Looks like it's going on the old stang this weekend. Thanks for all the thoughts.

I was about to suggest taking it to the power wash for a good washin'.

Good to know that you got it though. A ten cent washer would've ruined your day if it got in your motor
