Anybody have pics of a sonic blue 99-04 with the Bullitt fuel door?
http://www.americanmuscle.com/sr-9404-fueldoor-black.html

Thinking about maybe ricing the stang and picking one up AM is running a 15% off exterior styling deal.

With the black rims it would look good imo, I picked mine up for 30 bucks used from someone who sold his car. Might be ale to find one locally too. I wanted to get some smoked taillights with that same sale but I was told that they arn't 'exterior styling'

I have anthracite wheels, but the headlights and taillights are smoked.

Yeah they seem to be really picky with those deals, it's annoying. They advertise it broadly then narrow it down to select items when you attempt to check out.

Oh yea anthracite my bad. I stil don't think it would be bad though. I did call even and they said no still. I told them I would wait till they go on their monthly sales since I saw them frequent there last year but didn't pull the trigger. They will be there soon and will look purrrrfect with what I am picking up tmw.

I think like I said before though hold off till you find one locally. Hell I will keep an eye out here for one and see if its a good deal. My piece was a UPR one.

Sounds good man, thanks. Do you have the 6% off coupon offered on Stangnet?

I disagree with you, anything you technically change on the outside of your car can be considered exterior styling. I think its just that they have this sale as a way to get some cheaper pieces off their shelves which is always a good thing for someone who needs it. I do think its also a lighting piece as well though. Its all just point of view.

No, exterior styling means it's just that, exterior styling. Another way of putting it is that it's just cosmetic crap. At AM, they have categories and exterior styling is a well defined category. They don't just move items in and out of parts categories depending on what sale they are running. If I want a billet fuel door, it's in exterior styling. If I want new headlights, those are in lighting.

Aw who cares what they consider it? It's a visual mod that's worth it. Hell, my wife bought mine after I wrecked my 04 as kind of a treat to show it that we were going to fix it.

Here it is right after I put it on.

And that was an indication of:

I spent a few thousand getting this thing to look good and you can't decide on wether or not to spend 60$? Come on, treat your car to it, it deserves it!

The reviews for that fuel door were funny. I thought I was the only one that had a problem with the fuel door fitting . I debated for a couple years to get a Bullitt fuel door. I'm glad I did. They came out with a Mach 1 engraved fuel door afew years back and I got one. My kit had 1 wrong sized hex key, the screws were too big, and the stock holes for the fuel door were mis-aligned, so I had the do alittle adjusting. A hassle, but worth it. I got brushed satin. Looks great with my chrome rims.
