Sony Amps worth a hoo ha?

Are Sony amps any good? I am just looking for a cheap amp that will power my rear speakers and my door speakers. I found a Sony amp for around 100 bucks-- 60wx4. Just curious if it would be ok or if I should look at something else that will be better?

I don't about the small amps, but the xploid amps aren't too good. I have a friend that is running 2 xploid subs, and he blew his amp twice.

I'm not sure if it's an xploid amp or not. It's 500w max I believe, 60x4. Which is about what I need for 6x8's and the 2 door speakers. Not sure if you cosider that a small amp or not. I just haven't heard much about Sony amps so I was curious.

ehh from my time i know they were crap they could be ok now but i would shy away i never had any luck w/ sony anything in car audio.

pioneer and orion those should be around the same price

I will keep looking around and see what I can find. I thought I had read in a post on here that Sony was crap but I couldn't find it again so I thought I would just ask.
